Invitation and agenda for Saturday Summer WTA Seminars
Featuring Open Meetings, Open Records and Ethics
from
Thomas W. Harnisch, WTA Education Director
This is an invitation to all Town and Village officials from the WTA and WTA Education Director Thomas W. Harnisch, to attend at one (1) of eight (8) Saturday Seminars at eight (8) locations in June, July and August for an exciting, unique and educational WTA Seminar. The WTA has arranged to have these eight (8) sessions on Saturdays at excellent locations throughout the State. These Saturday sessions were arranged for any Town or small Village Officials who can not attend sessions during the week. These sessions were arranged also for Town or Village Officials to attend and then, hopefully, learn the three (3) basics of Town and Village governance Open Meetings, Open Records, and Ethics. No Town or Village Official can properly meet his or her fiduciary duty to his or her Town or Village without a clear and full understanding of these three (3) basic areas for Town or Village governance.
The WTA would especially urge each Town or Village Board to have attend these sessions those Town or Village Supervisors, Clerks and Treasurers who may not regularly attend Municipal educational sessions.
The locations selected for these eight (8) meetings should all be pleasant summer locations. A Town or Village Officer can select to attend these sessions at any one of these eight (8) locations.
WTA Attorney Carol Nawrocki, WTA Attorney Lee Turonie, or WTA Executive Director Rick Stadelman will provide presentations on The Open Meeting Laws and Open Record Laws in Wisconsin.
WTA Education Director, Thomas W. Harnisch, will speak on Ethics and Criminal Liability for Town and Village Officials.
