Oneida County is looking for two individuals to establish timber sales in stands which are ready for harvest. This includes pre-sale assessment and cruising, developing silvicultural prescriptions, establishing boundary lines, marking of trees to be harvested, final cruise and volume determinations, preparing all necessary paperwork including timber sale map, prospectus etc. and regeneration plans if needed. These positions will also update timber compartment reconnaissance maps through independent field inventory, office analysis of collected field data, compartment map updating via aerial photography and computerized data entry including updating of WISFIRS data and maps. Qualified applicants must have a bachelor’s degree or entering Senior year or Associates Degree or two years practical work experience in Agriculture, Horticulture, Biology or a related Natural Resources field relating to terrestrial invasive plant species. Knowledge and experience working with ArcGIS 10X software and Microsoft Office. A pesticide applicator’s license or certificate is desirable but not required. Must have experience using GPS units and downloading data to GIS mapping software. Must be willing to work outside under harsh environmental conditions, possess the ability to work independently, lift moderate weight, walk long distances on un-even ground, and communicate effectively with public. Must possess a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License, and be experienced with the operation of chainsaw, ATV, and 4-wheel drive pick-up truck.

Due to a retirement, the town of Vienna in North Central Dane County has an opening for a part-time Deputy Clerk/Deputy Treasurer.
