Submit bids by October 7, 2016 at noon in a sealed envelope labeled ‘Pickups’ or ‘Plow Trucks.’ All vehicles have been well maintained and will be sold to the highest bidder.

All vehicles are being sold ‘as is’ and the City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.

Job Posting/Description

The Town of Rome (population 2,720, summer population 15,000+), located in Adams County, and one of Wisconsin’s premiere vacation and outdoor-activity areas, is accepting applications for the position of Town Clerk-Treasurer. This position is responsible for performing various functions of the office of Town Clerk-Treasurer as defined by State Statutes and Town Ordinances.  Preferred candidates will have municipal government experience and/or degree in accounting, finance or closely related field.  Strong accounting, organizational, communication and computer skills are required.  Certification as a Municipal Clerk and Municipal Treasurer or working toward such certifications is preferred.

Job duties include (but are not limited to):

Perform the functions of bookkeeping, accounting, custodian of public records, and elections for the Town. Preparation of the payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable, special assessments, elections, receipts and deposits.  Preparation of a treasurer's report as requested. Take and prepare minutes of the Town Board and other boards, commissions and committees as required. Assemble packets of information for Town Board and other meetings. Ensure posting and publication of related agendas. Assist in preparing general fund budget and other related budgets. Assist with other grant applications and related reports. Calculate, collect and balance property taxes. Create adjusting journal entries. Prepare for elections, setup and related reports. Maintain records assigned as custodian and advise other department heads on record retention requirements. Assist other departments, Board Members, Town Administrator, and Town Attorney as necessary for the good of the Town. All other duties as assigned.  Starting salary:  $56,500 +/- DOQ.  Excellent benefit package

LTE AIS Project Assistant

Oneida County Land and Water Conservation is accepting applications for three AIS (Aquatic Invasive Species) Project Assistant positions.  These LTE (Limited Term Employee) positions assist the AIS Coordinator with planning and implementing the Oneida County AIS program for prevention and control of aquatic invasive species in Oneida County and cooperates with other AIS partners to achieve the goals and objectives set forth in the Oneida County DNR AIS Education Grant.  Two positions are for 600-hours at $12.00 per hour and one AIS Field Lead position is also available for 1000 hours at $14.00 per hour.  Employees will be compensated for mileage during the work day.

Road Maintenance Position (Assistant Highway Patrolman)

The Town of New Glarus is seeking an individual for part time road

maintenance. Duties include plowing snow, brush trimming,

installing and taking down snow fence, help with emergency tree

removal. Applicant must be able to run a tractor with loader. They

must also be able to use a chain saw. The position requires a CDL.
