Road Maintenance Position (Part Time)

TOWN OF ROME, WISCONSIN

TOWN ADMINISTRATOR

Town Administrator, Rome, Wisconsin (pop. 2,720; summer pop. 15,000+). Picturesque community established in 1857, the Town of Rome is located 40 miles southwest of Stevens Point and 30 miles north of Adams- Friendship in Adams County, one of Wisconsin’s premiere vacation and outdoor-activity areas. The Town is easily 15 minutes from Interstate 39, and is a vibrant blend of old and new, including the on-going development of a destination golf resort.

The Town’s land area covers more than 62 square miles, and is clustered around three large recreational lakes. The Town maintains its rural charm and high quality of life while balancing growth and progress. The Town is seeking its first professional Town Administrator, and desires a progressive, team-oriented, creative thinking professional with strong budget management and team-leadership skills. Proven financial, analytical and human resources skills, as well as supervisory experience, are required. Experience in economic development is a plus. The Town has a collaborative workforce of 15 full-time employees, plus more than 60 part-time and paid-on-call personnel providing Town services including police, fire/EMS, public works, library, planning and zoning, water, plus administrative services. The Town Administrator oversees combined budgets of more than $5.5 million.

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree plus three to five years of increasingly responsible local government management experience. A Master’s degree in public administration, business administration or closely related field is preferred. Assistant administrator experience in a larger community will also be considered.

The Town Administrator is appointed by the Town Board, and works under the Board’s policy guidance and direction. Starting salary range: $73,000 – $76,000 +/- DOQ. Maintenance Technician

Oneida County seeks an individual for a Maintenance Technician/Plumbing & Boiler Heating position. Starting 2016 hourly wage scale is $19.62 to $22.42 based on experience and qualifications with pager pay ($20/day weekdays and $40/day holidays & weekends with a rotating schedule) plus excellent fringe benefit package.  This position performs general building and property maintenance with an emphasis on plumbing, boiler heating systems and limited custodial duties. This position reports to the Oneida County Law Enforcement Center, but is not limited to work at this facility.

Qualified individuals need a high school degree or equivalent with industrial arts classes. Must have knowledge of HVAC systems; basic skills in plumbing, electrical and mechanical areas; knowledge of building and grounds maintenance equipment and procedures including snow removal; ability to be on call and carry a pager; ability to pass required criminal background check and physical screenings; and ability to adhere to Sheriff Department confidentiality policy. Must have valid WI driver’s license.

The Town of Rome, located in Central Wisconsin, is seeking an individual to assume the duties of part-time Fire Chief, supervising up to 40 personnel.

Candidates for the position should possess the minimum of 1) Associate Degree in Fire Science or Wisconsin Certification as Firefighter 2.  Wisconsin Certification in Fire Inspection within one-year of employment; 2) Must be Wisconsin Licensed at a minimum of Emergency Medical Responder; 3) Must have a valid Driver’s License; 4) Must have at least 5-years of experience in the rank of Lieutenant higher.

Base Salary Range:  $7,000-$14,000 with an additional $26.00 - $31.80 per hour for actual times on calls for service, all based on qualifications.

VILLAGE OF BLANCHARDVILLE REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
FOR ASSESSMENT SERVICES

The Village of Blanchardville, Lafayette & Iowa Counties is seeking sealed bids from qualified individuals/firms to act as the statutory assessor for the Village of Blanchardville, Lafayette & Iowa Counties to begin immediately, through 2016 and going forward.

LTE AIS Project Assistant

Oneida County Land and Water Conservation is accepting applications for three AIS (Aquatic Invasive Species) Project Assistant positions.  These LTE (Limited Term Employee) positions assist the AIS Coordinator with planning and implementing the Oneida County AIS program for prevention and control of aquatic invasive species in Oneida County and cooperates with other AIS partners to achieve the goals and objectives set forth in the Oneida County DNR AIS Education Grant.  Two positions are for 600-hours at $12.00 per hour and one AIS Field Lead position is also available for 1000 hours at $14.00 per hour.  Employees will be compensated for mileage during the work day.
