RESPONSIBILITIES:
Examines plans and specifications for residential and commercial building construction and alterations.
Inspects construction of considerable variety, including issuance of Final Certificate of Inspection.
Performs inspections and notifies owners of Town Ordinance violations and secures compliance with these ordinances.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Knowledge of construction management and the sequencing of a construction project.
Ability to recognize faulty construction or hazardous conditions created by deterioration.
Ability to read and interpret building construction plans and specifications and to recognize deviations from such plans in the construction process.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
A high school graduate or equivalent.
Must possess State of Wisconsin Certification for UDC Construction Inspector, UDC HVAC Inspector.
Must possess at least 3 years of relevant construction trade experience. Relevant experience could include carpentry, masonry, HVAC, electrical, plumbing.
Must possess a valid Wisconsin driver’s license.
