Capitol Day is offered in the spring of odd-numbered years and sponsored by the Town Advocacy Council. Capitol Day offers you the opportunity to interact face-to-face with your Legislators. A legislative visit preview will take place before you make your way to the State Capitol followed by a debriefing after your meetings. Look for more information in the magazine and on the website nearer the event date.

Lodging: WTA has reserved a block of rooms at the Best Western Premier Park hotel for those interested in arriving in Madison Wednesday night, March 29thRooms must be booked by March 15th to take advantage of the state rate of $90.  Use the room block name “Wisconsin Towns Association” when making reservations.  Make reservations by phone (608-285-8000) or book online at

Parking: Available at the hotel on a first come first served basis for $4/hour OR WTA and TAC have reserved a bus to pick up attendees away from the busy downtown area and bring them to the meeting location.  This will help you avoid traffic and parking in downtown Madison if desired.  Space is limited on the bus so you must call or email the WTA office prior to Capitol Day to reserve a spot.  There is no charge to ride this bus thanks to sponsorship by Scott Construction. 

The bus will pick up Capitol Day attendees at the American Center Park and Ride just of US 151 a few miles east of the Capitol.  This is a WisDOT park and ride and more information, including directions, can be found on the WisDOT website here.  The bus will begin loading at 7:15 a.m. on March 30th and depart for the meeting location at 7:30 a.m.  The bus will return to the park and ride upon the conclusion of Capitol Day.  WTA Outreach Specialist Jake Langenhahn will be at the park and ride to help you get to the meeting.  Contact Sandy Wanta in the WTA office at 715-526-3157 or [email protected] to reserve a spot on the Capitol Day bus.
