The Tourism Committee will present information to the WTA Unit about the growth of tourism throughout Richland County. With this growth comes an increase in lodging nights. A recent change in Wisconsin statutes now allows or requires various lodging platforms (ex. Airbnb, VRBO, HomeAway) to collect room taxes on these overnight stays. The purpose of our presentation will be to inform and educate the attendees about the program and to share economic impact projections. Other items Mine Training, Comp Plan follow up, and Census 2020.
