It is now confirmed that we will be holding a special meeting of the Marquette County Unit of WTA on Wednesday, September 29, 2021. The sole purpose of this meeting will be to discuss ARPA funding. The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will be scheduled to last no more than two hours. We will meet at the County Board meeting room in the County Services Building at 480 Underwood Avenue in Montello. Insomuch as this is a special meeting, no meal will be provided.
Jake Langenhahn from WTA will be with us to discuss the lost revenue formula. Jerry Schneider from Marquette-Adams Telephone Cooperative will be with us to review and discuss the latest developments on grant opportunities and possible ways to use ARPA funds for expansion of Broadband service in the county. Other speakers may be added in the days to come.
The meeting will be in-person and CDC guidelines will be followed for social distancing. Attendees are asked to wear a face covering if you have not been vaccinated yet, unless you have an underlying health condition that may prevent you from wearing one. If you are or have recently felt ill or have a fever or have been in contact with someone that is ill, please do not attend.
