County unit meeting participation is encouraged for all town officials.  The meetings empower you to network with other town officials, engage with legislators, learn from speakers, hear updates from WTA Directors, and improve your ability to serve your constituents.  The Jackson County Unit leaders look forward to your participation.

    • The Future of Recycling in Jackson County – County Supervisors Adrian Swanson & Ed Chamberlain: Jackson County has concerns about the rising costs and lack of markets for recyclables.  If the County decides to discontinue this service, each Town would need to find a way to provide its own recycling program.  There is a State mandate requiring Towns to provide recycling services.  We need to begin discussions on how to best manage this underfunded State mandate.

Your County Unit Officers invite all Town Board Officials to attend our quarterly meetings of the “Jackson County Towns Association.”  These meetings are intended for Clerks and Treasurers, Chairs and Supervisors, Planning Commissions, and any other Town Appointed Committee Members.  Unit Meetings provide for a wide variety of educational topics and the opportunity for you to address your County, State and Federal Legislators.
