Vilas County Unit Meeting

August 11th, 2025 | 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Event Location: Plum Lake Town Hall | 8755 Lake St | Sayner, Wisconsin 54560 Get Directions »

Please Note:  This meeting coincides with the Plum Lake Fire Department Annual Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser.  The cost for a spaghetti dinner is $20, which supports the Plum Lake Fire Department.  Dinners will be served in a building close to the Town Hall, pick your dinner up there and bring it to the meeting room in the Town Hall.

Also, if you are able and willing please limit parking close to the fundraising event.  Parking may be an issue and if you could park farther from the fundraising event so that event attendees have available parking closer, this would be appreciated.

For this meeting, we would like to invite an EMS Department representative from each Town.  Please extend an invitation to your EMS Department for one representative to attend this meeting with you.

County unit meeting participation is encouraged for all town officials.  The meetings empower you to network with other town officials, engage with legislators, learn from speakers, hear updates from WTA Directors, and improve your ability to serve your constituents.  We look forward to your participation.

The Wisconsin Towns Association is a nonpartisan association that provides legislative advocacy as part of its mission.  We focus on town issues and support strategies that are good for towns and oppose actions that are bad for towns regardless of who comes up with them.  We kindly ask that speakers and participants focus their comments and questions strictly on challenges and opportunities affecting town government.  Dialogue on matters of national or international importance that do not impact the function of town government is encouraged to occur before or after the unit meeting.  Critical analysis of proposals, legislative or otherwise, and how they impact towns is encouraged; however, disparaging comments unrelated to proposals impacting towns are discouraged.
