The Village of Cambridge seeks a skilled, service-oriented professional to serve as its next Clerk-Treasurer. This key managerial role blends professional management with hands-on administrative responsibilities to ensure transparent and efficient municipal operations. Duties include elections, licensing, public records, budgeting, and fiscal administration.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of Wisconsin municipal clerk and treasurer statutes, election law, and accounting principles. Strong skills in preparing budgets, financial statements, and public records, along with experience administering Wisconsin elections. Proficiency with municipal accounting software, WisVote and Microsoft Teams.
Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, public administration, or related field; bachelor’s degree preferred, with three+ years of clerk-treasurer experience. Completion of the WMC Clerks and Treasurers Institutes and related certification are highly preferred.
Expected salary range: $75,000 to $95,000 DOQ
